Tinnitus assessment

Ringing or buzzing in your ears? Let’s work out why.

A tinnitus assessment starts with a full hearing test, then looks at what's driving the sound and what makes it worse. You leave with a clear explanation and practical ways to manage it.

How it works

What the assessment covers

History and ear check

When it started, what it sounds like, what makes it louder. Then a video otoscope check — wax can make tinnitus worse, and is easy to rule out.

Full hearing test

Most tinnitus sits alongside some hearing change, so the test shows what's going on underneath.

Tinnitus assessment

The pitch and loudness of the sound, and how much it affects sleep, concentration and mood.

A management plan

Sound therapy, hearing aids where there is hearing loss, and practical strategies — with a GP referral if anything needs a medical look.

Pricing

Quoted after the initial assessment

Every tinnitus consultation starts with the $125 hearing test. Ongoing management is quoted once we know what will help — nothing is sold on the day.
